Four NYPD Officers Injured in Queens Crash During Response to Gunfire Incident
Four officers from the NYPD were hospitalized late Monday night after a collision between two police vehicles while they were responding to a report of gunfire in Queens.
The incident occurred around 9:10 p.m. at the intersection of Rockaway Freeway and Seagirt Boulevard in the Rockaways, close to Beach 34 Street, as reported by authorities.
Images from the scene reveal the severely damaged police cars resting on the roadside. One vehicle exhibits significant front-end damage, while the other appears to have been impacted on the passenger side.
All four officers were transported to Jamaica Hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition.
According to police, there were no injuries related to the gunfire report, and no arrests have been made in connection with that incident.
The crash happened at a busy intersection characterized by three major roadways beneath the elevated A-train subway line.
