Vice President JD Vance Mocks New York Times Op-Ed on Immigration Reform
Vice President JD Vance humorously criticized the New York Times following an opinion piece by a former official in the Biden administration, who proposed solutions for reforming the U.S. immigration system.
Speaking to an audience in West Pittston, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, Vance highlighted the op-ed titled, “I Was One of Biden’s Border Advisers. Here’s How to Fix Our Immigration System,” eliciting laughter from attendees.
“What expertise do they have in fixing our immigration system? It’s the Biden administration that caused the problems we face today,” Vance remarked with a smirk. “We’ve been enjoying some light-hearted banter around the office.”
In continuation of his jest, the vice president presented a mock headline, stating, “The Department of Homeland Security would say, ‘I was Humpty Dumpty. Here’s how to sit on a wall.’”
