An Unthinkable Attack: Gunman Targets Maid During Deadly Midtown Shooting
A gunman unleashed chaos in a Midtown skyscraper on Monday, pursuing a terrified maid who narrowly escaped injury, according to the NYPD’s chief of detectives, who described the attack as the most horrific crime scene observed in three decades of service.
The unidentified maid encountered Shane Tamura, armed with an assault rifle, as he invaded the largely empty 33rd floor of the Park Avenue office building shortly after opening fire in the lobby.
“When he reached the top floor, he spotted a long-time maid, cherished by her coworkers, diligently performing her duties as others departed,” stated John Chell, the NYPD chief of detectives, during an interview with Fox News.
